Just along from the park is Hartland, during Tudor times it was an important port, nowadays it’s more known for its stunning coastline and a Hollywood filming destination.
Almost opposite the park entrance, half a mile up the road there is a charming Gnome reserve, set amongst delightful wildflowers at Merry Harriers Garden Centre, definitely a must.
The Milky Way adventure park is also a stones throw from the chalet, leaflets are available from reception
Clovelly is a privately owned harbour village. It has a steep pedestrian cobbled main street leading down to the sea.
16 miles east is the river port town of Barnstaple. A bustling town, perfect for retail therapy. With its picturesque estuary views, its well worth a visit.
A little further afield, there are towns and villages just waiting for you. Lynton, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Braunton, South Molton, Torrington, Holsworthy, Bude. Plenty of detinations to excite and explore.
